ECCO Spring/Summer 2011 shoes

Maybe it’s just me, but I find it very difficult to find a cute, casual shoe for spring. Dressy shoes? No problem. Shoes that are so decorated you can use them as Christmas tree decorations or a hat? Not hard to find.

A casual shoe that looks good with most things and isn’t a flip flop or boring ballet flat? Call me picky but that’s difficult.

While not all of ECCO’s spring/summer offerings were to my taste, I have to commend them for producing shoes that looks great and comfortable.

This boat shoe calls to my inner Preppy. I may not pop my collar or wear pastels, but I’d wear these with a skirt or a pair of rolled jeans:

And some trends continue into spring including the clogs. Spring offers a clog sandal: This time, it’s not just the regular clog, but more of a take on a clog – it’s not as clunky or chunky as the clogs we’re seeing this season:

And colour. Prada brought pinks and orange with her spring/summer 2011 collection and ECCO offers some footwear in the citrusy colour. It’ll look great on a tan (providing you yourself aren’t orange).

I’d also to mention that ECCO does adorable children’s shoes. For those that follow me on Twitter and Facebook, you know I bang on about my niece. My brother (her father) and I were looking for shoes for her and couldn’t find anything we liked for her. When I saw the children’s shoes, I immediately wanted to buy them all for her. For the record, she won’t care.
