Aleks Susak’s debut collection sends peacocks down the runway
I need to find a place to wear this peacock dress from Aleks Susak. It’s the right blend of elegance and drama. And hey, peacocks.
The debut collection evokes warm memories of painting the back of leather (or denim) jackets but the look was updated with sleek, soft leather.
Susak sent very sleek looks down the runway – lots of silk dresses and pencil skirts. Yet while the shapes were classic, Susak added in a fine arts twist with hand painted scenes of birds, butterflies and peacocks. Another fun piece was her leather bustier. I could see that in my closet.
Susak isn’t new to the industry. She created custom clothing for private clients and demand increased so much that she finally started her own line. You can purchase her collection at alekssusak.com.
