I do some corporate work as part of my freelance career where I write company blogs, white papers, sponsored content or tips sheets. That means writing to a client’s requirements, which means a content brief.
I like this type of work because you generally get a clear idea of what the client wants. The problem arises when a client contracts you out of the blue for some work and then doesn’t give you that content brief. In fact, it’s annoying because it leads to emails like this:
When in Paris… you take photos of what you ate and where you went, of course.
I will say this – Paris is spring can be wet.

More stores have closed in the neighbourhood. David Findlay closed its doors recently as did the high-end florist. I can’t remember the name, unfortunately.
This again brings up the question of what does well in this neighbourhood.
I was at an Elte event where they brought in a sleep expert to tell us how and why we were screwing up our sleep. I learned a lot of things – most of which I’ll tell you in my next article for work – but let’s not ponder that right now. Let’s ponder this:
I collect moleskins and pens. Not on purpose – I just tend to get moleskins in press kits or randomly. Yes, random moleskins. I love each of them (equally) because each one is full of potential just before I write in them.
