Feeling the need to tweak a few things

Working my way through my closet, getting rid of some items, donating a few and altering some others. I got this dress five years ago in Monsoon on Oxford street. I’ve worn it a few times but it has been languishing in my closet for two years. 

My life doesn’t require cocktails dresses very often. However, I do like a fancy skirt. I’m thinking of removing the tank top part of the dress, add a shorter zipper and wear it to work, to the opera (planning on going this year, seriously) and holiday parties.

So this and the Burberry coat will be my major alterations this season. Everything else I’m wearing this season fits.
