Would you be more successful if you had no friends?

Flipping through a magazine, I saw this: 

I’m not sure what to think. Does it make a difference in particular fields? Do professional networks count as friendly? Does it mean friends at her job or overall?

Personally, I have gotten great jobs as a result of friends and I hope that I have helped my friends in return. Sometimes it is who you know.
