The Ethnic Aisle’s Election Issue

I’ve been busy the last week or so putting the final touches on the latest issue of The Ethnic Aisle. Today we launched the Election Issue, a look at the Toronto election.

I’m very proud of this issue (and part of that is because I’m the publisher now). It’s the one where we’ll look back and say, “We upped our game.” We’ve had great content before but this time the writers really produced something extra special.

Desmond Cole on why non-citizens should be allowed to vote.

John Michael McGrath looks at whether zoning is racist.

Supriya Dwivedi on the differences between Toronto and Montreal. (Toronto, you’re not as accepting as you think you are.)

Jaime Woo interviews Carolann Wright-Parks, Toronto’s (almost) first black mayor.

Andray Domise is running in the Fords’ ward. He’s clearly a tough guy.

What does it mean with Olivia Chow running?
