Leaving the credit card home

Mine is to be debt-free, apart from my mortgage, for 2013. I have a tiny bit of consumer debt so next month should see it wiped out (Yay!). The trick is to not build it back up.

So that means leaving the credit card home. My life isn’t built around needing a credit card on a daily basis. I’ve done this before and it has helped immensely with paying off my debt. I write of what I do. Some people find it odd that I don’t walk with a credit card but I find I don’t have a need for one.

Now the mortgage. I’ve put some extra cash on it this year and have taken a few years off. I’m hoping to do the same next year.
