Project Burberry trench

I love a trench coat. I own a couple and wear them all them time because they go with everything. I’ve looked at Burberry trenches but I just can’t pay those prices.

However, when I found this navy trench at Consign Toronto for a very good price, I snapped it up. And it’s not beige, which makes me look like a jaundiced corpse.

It fits through the torso and most importantly, through the shoulders. I just need to get the hem taken up and maybe add a bit to the sleeves (maybe). These are pretty simple alterations and the person I go to is brilliant.

The pins show the new length, a couple of inches above the knee but still covering the bottom. The longer length is ok but doesn’t feel right. Meryl Streep, in Kramer vs. Kramer, is probably the only one who can pull off the longer length and she got an Oscar as well.

Let’s see how this goes.
